Made In The Philippines // A TITAN Original Campaign

TITAN - the country’s first and only basketball collective of its kind - is proud to present
its new, original brand campaign ‘Made in the Philippines’. The five-part series will pay
tribute to the unique, vibrant hoops culture that is unmistakably Filipino.

Celebrating the traditions, stories, and diverse (yet unified) communities that shape the
Filipino basketball landscape, ‘Made in the Philippines’ is composed of light-hearted
shorts that capture the joy, passion, and humor of our local hoops.

These episodes celebrate Pinoy basketball slang, shining the spotlight on the unique
way that Filipinos play, talk about, and laugh because of - basketball.

No place on earth lives basketball the way we do.

For Love of the Game.

Episode 1: Tap Board
The act of touching the backboard during a layup attempt. The louder the smack, the
bigger the flex. Only seen as a big deal by non-dunkers.
Starring: Deer Valley TITANs Dom Tuason (LSGH), Kai Oani (ADMU), Gian Mamuyac
(PBA), Troy Rosario (PBA), and Pauline Gaston (PVL).

Episode 2: Bek Shoot
A common shooting game wherein upon successfully making a jumper, the shooter says "bek" to shoot again. Those with broken jump shots need not participate.
Starring: Deer Valley TITAN Von Pessumal (PBA) and Faith Dalangin (17 Y/O, Incoming
PUP Freshman)

Episode 3: Lusutan
A game where the losing team or player is made to crawl between the legs of the winning team or player as a consequence. As embarrassing as it sounds.
Starring: Deer Valley TITAN Camille Nolasco (UP) and TMG Athlete Isaac Go (PBA)

Episode 4: Patay Butiki
A missed shot, often from the baseline, that hits only the thin side of the backboard. There is no recovering from this.
Starring: Jasper Reyes (Content Creator) and Charlie Salazar (Collage Artist)

Episode 5: Ice Tubig
Used as both refreshment and reward in Filipino basketball culture - referring to a cold water in a plastic bag tied off at the end. Does not include actual ice.
