TITAN Basketball opens its first retail door in Cebu

TITAN is thrilled to announce the grand opening of its first-ever retail store in Cebu, located at SM Seaside City. This exciting milestone marks the brand’s long-overdue arrival to the Queen City of the South, symbolizing a new era in a fresh setting united by our shared passion for the game.
 
In line with TITAN’s commitment to providing holistic in-store experiences for its community, the new space offers an inviting and dynamic environment where basketball and sneaker enthusiasts can connect, shop, and experience TITAN to the fullest.
 
Now entering its 15th year, TITAN is a homegrown basketball brand that began its journey at Burgos Circle in BGC, Taguig and has since established itself as an authority and pillar in the growth of hoops and sneaker culture in the country. With several retail locations under its belt, TITAN proudly adds TITAN Cebu to its roster, marking its first store outside Luzon.

“We've always wanted to connect with basketball communities everywhere and give them a first-hand experience of our brand. Bringing TITAN to Cebu has been a long time coming, and we couldn't be more excited for this new chapter,” expressed Via Bergantinos, TITAN’s Senior Space Development Manager.
 
Located on the second floor of the Seaview Wing of SM Seaside, TITAN Cebu occupies a 230 square meter area that masterfully combines signature TITAN design elements with contemporary details to create a fresh and unique space tailored to the Cebuano community.
 
Standout features include a façade reminiscent of a backboard, a dugout-inspired fitting room, classic hardwood accents, custom artwork in the checkout counter that nods to the vibrant city, and an interpreted footwear wall that borrows design features from TITAN’s current and former flagship stores in Manila.

“The interior design of the store incorporates a diverse range of design elements used in all TITAN stores, both the old and the new, integrating classic and modern influences and elements into one cohesive whole. It illustrates a complex weave of the history and evolution of TITAN as a brand and as a community,” said Arvin Villalino Jr., the architect behind the new TITAN store.
 
Grey, black, and walnut are the primary colors used in the interior, with various art installations and memorabilia pieces that narrate how TITAN came about over the years. With distinct display areas, including a dedicated women’s corner and an exclusive highlight area that will feature sought-after footwear, each section is thoughtfully designed to showcase the best hoops and lifestyle products.

The barbershop, a staple of the brand since its early days, adds a personal touch to the store – fostering a sense of community and sparking conversations centered around the game.
 
“This store offers the full TITAN experience; a full slate of basketball products that fans can use on and off the court, and a top-tier barbershop that provides a traditional barbering experience tailored for basketball enthusiasts,” Villalino Jr. added.
 
Among the head-turning art pieces inside the TITAN Cebu is the hanging art installation featured in the highlight area. Dubbed ‘ONWARD’, the fully suspended art sculpture was designed by Roy Ingente, a local artist based in Cebu. Crafted using elements of steel and other metals, the art piece was constructed to “mimic an outward winged-like structure that resonates the concepts of flight and glory.”
 
“The piece is created by utilizing individual figures presenting the diverse relationships of the different team members and players. Steel shards coated in gold leaf provide a sense of purpose and goal, while the adhered metal plates imitate soles of the team members' footwear ready to launch themselves ONWARD and beyond,” Ingente expressed.
 
Included in the new TITAN Cebu store are the brand’s in-house apparel products, as well as a wide selection of multi-brand footwear, apparel, and accessories from Nike, Jordan Brand, Adidas, ANTA, and more of the best hoop brands around the globe.
 
To mark this milestone, TITAN will host an in-store draw featuring a selection of limited and exclusive footwear from its highlight area. The draw will take place from July 25-28, 2024.
